This beautiful new coin issue features the Maple Leaf in black ruthenium with all filigree details. The coin is partly plated with pure gold and black ruthenium. All this together with the luxury box and the noble certificate makes a perfect present and a worldwide searched collector’s piece.
The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf was first offered in 1988, which makes 2013 the 25th anniversary of this widely recognized series. This 1 oz. Silver Maple Leaf features a special design for the anniversary. The mintage limit for this coin has been set at 250,000 pieces. Like other coins of the series, this one is made of .9999 fine silver.
The face value and date are displayed on the obverse. The portrait of Queen Elizabeth II shown here was created by Susanna Blunt. The background is filled with a pattern of extremely fine lines.
The maple leaf design on the reverse has been modified for the 30th anniversary. The maple leaf at the center is accompanied by a large "25." The silver content is visible on this side along with a maple leaf privy mark..
