This 99.99% pure silver coin is a premium version of the silver bullion coin, struck in a brilliant proof finish.
The 2014-dated "Bald Eagle" (as second coin) kicks off the Mint's new four-coin, 1 oz., 99.99% pure silver PROOF Canadian Birds of Prey series. Two coins per year will be released in 2014 and 2015. Its reverse design features a brilliantly Encircling the Bald Eagle design, which was crafted by Canadian illustrator Emily Damstra, are inscriptions of CANADA, 9999, FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR, and the artist’s initials of ED. Coins from this new silver bullion series will be produced to a maximum mintage of one million.
