Bighorn sheep are found in Canada, parts of the U.S. and northern Mexico and live in dry mountainous regions above the tree line. The rams are clearly recognizable by their distinctive horns. Females also have horns, but in comparison they are much smaller. The bighorn sheep is a herd animal and feeds on any grass, herbs, foliage, lichen and fruit.
