- This new Burning Queen's Beasts portraits official Coat of Arms of the Dukedom of Clarence, the incredible Black Bull holding the Royal Arms.
- The coin is a 55 mm and is 2 oz of pure silver.
- Limited Mintage of 200 coins worldwide
The coin has been clad, which is the most exclusive method of coin refinement. The obverse and reverse was covered with black ruthenium, a rare transition metal that became a perfect backdrop for the Bull. The Bull itself has been decorated with 24-carat gold, thanks to which it shimmers even more spectacularly and flaunts its majesty.
At the coronation of Her Majesty The Queen, ten heraldic beasts stood guard. The Queen’s Beasts, sculpted by James Woodford RA for the coronation ceremony held in Westminster Abbey in 1953, stand six feet tall. The heraldic creatures symbolized the various strands of royal ancestry brought together in a young woman about to be crowned queen. Each proud beast, used as a heraldic badge by generations that went before her, was inspired by the King’s Beasts of Henry VIII that still line the bridge over the moat at his Hampton Court Palace. !
This coin is no longer legal tender because it is an adapted/altered version of an original “legal tender”, enhanced by a private Mint, which is not related in any way to The Royal Mint.
