Product Overview
Tapping into the growing popularity of Asian-style design themes, the Australian Perth Mint has struck this beautifully designed one ounce highly pure 99.99 silver coin, featuring two dragons chasing a flaming pearl.
The mythical Chinese dragons have several animal-like shapes such as turtles, and Fish, with the most common depiction of the mythical creatures resembling a snake with four legs.
Dragons are revered in the Chinese Culture and are considered to be a symbol of power, strength and good luck. They traditionally symbolize auspicious powers and control over water, rainfall or floods.
- The reverse of the new coin depicts exquisitely detailed representations of two serpentine dragons chasing a flaming pearl, surrounded by stylized scrolling clouds. It shows the Perth Mint’s mintmark “P”.
- The obverse displays an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, along with the year of issue, 2019, the monetary denomination, 1 dollar, and metal quality and weight.
