“Star War"
Darth Vader is depicted holding a lightsaber on the reverse, his image created with a stylized combination of matte and polished surfaces. The background features the distinct geometric design representing the Galactic Empire accompanied by the New Zealand Mint's "NZM" Mint mark, with "1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER" and the Lucasfilm copyright inscribed along the bottom left of the design.
The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley sculpture of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the fourth definitive portrait to appear on coinage, surrounded by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "NIUE," "TWO DOLLARS" and "2018."
