This beautiful 2 oz Silver coin is the second issue in the new "Way to Valhalla" series and is dedicated to Erik the Red, a Viking chieftain in his most formidable guise:axe in hand, a raven companion, and his gaze as piercing as the cold northern seas. Enhanced with digital printing that breathes fire into his red beard and hair, and sculpted in high relief, it showcases the might of his arms. Banished from Iceland, he sailed beyond the edge of the known world to Greenland, founding the first Norse settlements amidst ice and stone.

The reverse of the coin features Erik the Red, a Viking Chieftain, a legendary figure in Nordic history and mythology. Erik the Red's sagas and tales have made him one of the most iconic figures in Nordic folklore!
On the obverse, the Viking geometry inhabits the whole design and also influences the style of the engravings: "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" – the country of issue, "2024" – the year of issue, "2 oz" – the weight of the coin, "2000 FRANCS CFA" – the face value and "Ag 999" – the fineness of the Silver.
