Pig
The Pig (豬) is the twelfth and the last sign of the Earthly Branches. In the continuous Sexagenary cycle, every twelfth year corresponds to Hai, and is commonly called “the Year of the Pig” (豬年). There are five types of Pigs, named after the Chinese elements. In order, they are: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and Earth. In the Japanese zodiac and Tibetan zodiac, the Pig is replaced by the boar which is technically a pig. In the Dai zodiac, the Pig is replaced by the elephant. In the Gurung zodiac, the Pig is replaced by the deer, no close relation to a pig.
The reverse of the coin is shaped as a beautiful and jovial Pig full of detailed engravings. On the bottom left of the reverse, the inscriptions: “2019” – the year of issue. The center of the coin reproduces the Coat of Arms of Mongolia and the inscriptions: “MONGOLIA” – the issuing country, “1000 TOGROG” – the face value and “1OZ .999 SILVER” – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver.
