Jupiter is the largest and most massive planet in our solar system and was named after the Roman father of the gods. Despite its impressive size and mass, Jupiter rotates extremely fast - it takes only 9 hours and 55 minutes to complete one revolution. The number of its moons is also remarkable: So far, at least 69 moons are known - the four largest and best known ones are the so-called "Galilean moons" - Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callista.
