This coin is part of Magnificent Animals
This time it’s the latest in the Magnificent Animals range, which includes the 2011 Magnificent Big Cats and the 2012 Magnificent Reptiles, both very similar to this set, but minus the UV sensitivity.
The standout feature of this set and let’s face it, every set seems to have one these days, is that the colour is UV light sensitive and thus literally glows in the dark when the enclosed UV torch is aimed at the coin reverse side.
Comprising four 20g fine silver coins, each depicts a different species on its reverse side and they’re a good mix. In our view the font used for the coin text isn’t the best choice and the art should have been expanded to fill more of the coin face, but what’s there is of a great quality and should be considered a success as a whole.
Packaged in a nice collectors box with a brightly adorned front and enclosing a Certificate of Authenticity.
