MIRROR RAT – MASSIVE 65mm 1oz SILVER PROOF COIN
We are delighted to present this amazing Tokelau’s ‘Mirror Rat’ coin in celebration of the Year of the Rat.
This astounding 65mm 1oz pure silver coin features a classic image of a Rat curiously looking at a mirror image of itself. The coin is created in proof condition, with the Rat on one side sculpted proof with a highly polished proof table, the other side with a frosted table and polished Rat.
This is the fifth in Tokelau’s 65mm ‘Mirror’ Lunar series which commenced with the Year of the Monkey in 2016 and was followed by the Year of the Rooster in 2017 and the Year of the Dog in 2018.

Year of the Rat
The Year of the Rat will commence on 4 February 2020. In Chinese element theory, each zodiac sign is associated with one of the five elements: metal, wood, water, fire and earth and each element appears in a 60 year cycle. 2020 represents the year of the White Metal Rat, whose characteristics include reliability and stability. It is said people born in this year may hold some special power and are able to turn unlucky events into good fortune. Their personality is said to be kind and they are extremely likable.
