The original collection box for all nine coins of the series was included with the purchase of the first issue "The Sun".
The ninth and final issue of the Solar System Series is dedicated to Neptune. The motive of the dome shaped coin depicts a colored and detailed image of the planet Neptune, framed by the stars of the galaxy. The reverse features the inscription “THE SOLAR SYSTEM”, the fineness, the year of issue and the American Bald Eagle. Since Pluto was deprived of planet status, Neptune is the outermost planet of our solar system. It was discovered in 1846 and named after the Roman god of the sea and flowing waters. Because of the great distance to the sun, temperatures of -201°C to -218°C prevail on Neptune. In addition, there are wind speeds of up to 2,100 km/h – making Neptune not only one of the coldest, but also one of the stormiest places in our solar system. The limited silver proof coin is delivered in a protective coin capsule.
