| Nidhoggr, a fearsome dragon known as the “malice striker,” sits in a silver proof finish on the round’s obverse. The field around Nidhoggr is overlaid with stunning color, showing the depths of his cavern. Nidhoggr is known for gnawing on the roots of the World Tree, called Yggdrasil, and causing damage to the home of the Nine Worlds. Yggdrasil is seen on the series’ shared reverse, growing from the Well of Urd. According to legend, the great ash tree continually experiences trauma. While Nidhoggr destroys its roots, stags chew on the branches and mold rots the trunk. An inscription of “1 OZ .999 FINE SILVER” is inscribed along the rim’s bottom. | |
