This convex shaped silver proof coin is dedicated to the "Orthodox Shrines". This icon is stored in the “Temple of the Holy Patriarchs” in Hebron, the oldest of the cities, mentioned in the scriptures. The icon shows the appearance of God to Abraham in the form of three angles. This is not a canonical image. Forefather Abraham, who God has called to be the ancestor of the Israelites, was a model of loyalty and faith in God. He took in three strangers and invited them as guests, in front of the shadow of the Oak of Hebron. Abraham and his wife Sarah, who was childless for 99 years, were promised a wonder in the following year. And the miracle happened: They had a son called Isaac. Pilgrims from all over the world aspire to this shrine. Let a small piece of this Hebron Oak guard your icon and your home.

REVERSE

The reverse depicts Abraham, his wife and three angles. The characters are designed to match the original icon at the temple of the holy Patriarchs in Hebron and offset themselves against the reflecting silver proof background. The faces and halos are coloured, while the rest of the icon is depicted in white.

OBVERSE

The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

PACKAGING

The coin is packaged inside an elegant and rich wooden box. It is in a beautiful case, which is doing a great job in staging this remarkable coin. The Certificate of Authenticity is displayed on the inner packaging.
