Commissioned in 1632 by Emperor Shah Jahan to honor his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, it took over 20,000 artisans nearly two decades to complete.

The reverse of the coin depicts the Taj Mahal with its iconic reflection in the water ponds. All in traditional dot art style.
The obverse side of the coin depicts the unique Coat of Arms with the same dot-art and the inscriptions: “REPUBLIC OF PALAU” (the issuing country), “2024” (the year of issue), “DOT ART” (the name of the series) and “20 Dollars” (the face value).
