Winter is the coldest season of the year in polar and temperate zones. It occurs after autumn and before spring in each year. Winter is caused by the axis of the Earth in that hemisphere being oriented away from the Sun
The reverse of the coin features a related season on the surface of a Maple Leaf. All around the reverse, the inscriptions: “CANADA” – the issuing country, “9999” – the fineness of the Silver, “FINE SILVER”, “1 OZ” – the weight of the coin and “ARGENT PUR”. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II” – the name of the Queen, “5 DOLLARS” – the face value and “2019” – the year of issue.
