Obverse: The obverse is ornamented by a stylized sunburst pattern, with a right facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II positioned at the center. Inscriptions include "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA" and "1 DOLLAR." The portrait is credited to acclaimed British sculptor Jody Clark, the first Royal Mint employee to create a definitive coinage effigy of a monarch in more than a century.
Reverse: The reverse features a forward facing standing tiger, created from a stunning Australian white opal. The inscription "YEAR OF THE TIGER" sweeps above, with an array of cineraria blooms below. A symbol for joy and protection, the cineraria is one of the lucky flowers linked to the Lunar Tiger. The entirety of the design is framed by a complex oriental style border. Additional inscriptions include the Chinese character for tiger, the Mint mark "P" and "2022 1 OZ .9999 SILVER."
