In winter, the snow hare not only gets a much thicker winter coat, but at the same time changes its coat color from brown to white. Therefore, it is perfectly adapted to the conditions of harsh nature and can camouflage itself from enemies in the snow. The snow hares are easily recognizable not only by their white fur, but also by their rounded ears with black tips. They are mainly nocturnal, but belong to the more sociable species. In winter, up to 100 snow hares can cuddle together to warm each other against the freezing temperatures. The Canada's Wildlife - Snow Hare Maple Leaf coin in color is delivered in a protective capsule including an illustrated product card.
