Roya Canadian Mint went the distance to find the right gemstones to integrate into this design. Our gemologist travelled to Kimmirut, Nunavut, to mine the rough stone that adds a precious piece of Northern Canada to your collection. To light up the night scene on this coin, we paired the scapolite with glow-in-the-dark paint to give it a milky glow, which makes it the perfect stand-in for the moon.
