The reverse of the coin shows a scary image inspired by the tale “The Beauty and the Beast”. On the right, a profile depiction of the Beast. The monster has voluminous hair with horns on its head and is portrayed with its mouth opened, as if it was screaming. On the other side, Belle, depicted as a scared young girl with tears in her eyes. Between the two, a glass dome with the enchanted red rose and some falling petals. At the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: “FEAR TALES” – the name of the coin. On the left, close to the Beast, the year of issue of the coin, “2022”.
The obverse of the coin depicts a deep and dark forest and a sign with the inscription: “SADLY EVER AFTER”. Above the sign, the Coat of Arms of Palau and the inscriptions: “REPUBLIC OF PALAU” – the issuing country and “10$” – the face value.
