The reverse of the coin features Ladon that was the serpent-like dragon that twined and twisted around the tree in the Garden of the Hesperides and guarded the golden apples. On the reverse also the inscription: GREEK DRAGON – in ancient Greek style.
On the obverse of the coin, the outer ring repeats the symbols recalling the theme of the Dragon. In the center, the Public Seal of Niue and the inscriptions: 2 DOLLARS – the face value, NIUE – the issuing country, 2022 – the year of issue and Ag 999
