The original collection box for all nine coins of the series was included with the purchase of the first issue "The Sun".
The sixth issue of the Solar System Series is dedicated to Jupiter. The motive of the dome shaped coin depicts a colored and detailed image of the planet Jupiter illuminated by sun rays. The reverse features the inscription "THE SOLAR SYSTEM", the fineness, the year of issue and the American Bald Eagle. Jupiter is the largest and most massive planet in our solar system and was named after the Roman father of the gods. Despite its impressive size and mass, Jupiter rotates extremely fast - it takes only 9 hours and 55 minutes to complete one revolution. The number of its moons is also remarkable: So far, at least 69 moons are known - the four largest and best known ones are the so-called "Galilean moons" - Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.
